George Cook, CEO of Honeycomb, is a sixth-generation community banker who grew up in Western Pennsylvania and saw firsthand how the disappearance of community banks was limiting small business owners from getting the loans they needed to make their businesses thrive. Despite having a financial background, co-founder Ken Martin in Kansas City; was having trouble obtaining funding for his juice bar. Their disparate areas of interest are tied together by a love of community and a firm conviction in Main Street.

The Challenges the Customer Faced

When Honeycomb Credit contacted devFoxie, their product and market fit had already been established. They were ready to scale swiftly at this time, but they were using a platform run by a third party to raise money.
